1. Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of directions to respondents No. 1 and 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondents No.5 and 6.
2. On 24.07.2025, following order was passed by this Court:
“1. Present petition is filed by the complainant-Pritpal Singh (petitioner herein), aged 38 years, for seeking direction to the official respondents No. 1 to 4, to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner, at the hands of respondents No.5 & 6.
2. It is informed by learned State counsel that the complaint/representation, submitted by the petitioner was duly considered and thereupon, FIR No. 106, dated 18.11.2024 (Annexure P-1), u/s 115(2), 126(2), 324(4), 332(C), 351(2), 3(5) of BNS, 2023, registered at P.S. Division No.2, Distt. Police Commissionerate Ludhiana, and after investigation it was finally concluded that there is no substance in the allegations, however, final report is yet to be submitted. 3. On instructions from SI Bhupinder Singh, learned State Counsel submits that after completion of the investigation in the FIR, a cancellation report has been prepared and forwarded to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, which is pending consideration.
4. In view of the above, present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to take a final decision on the cancellation report submitted by the investigating agency within a period of two months from today, if the same is proposed to be accepted.
5. It is clarified that it shall be open to the petitioner to avail legal remedies as may be available to him in accordance with law.
