The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for following relief: "I. a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no.2 to pass an appropriate order on the representation of petitioner dated 28.01.2025 and 17.04.2025 for payment of the arrears of Gratuity forthwith alongwith interest payable under the law." It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has filed representations' dated 28.1.2025 and 17.4.2025 for payment of arrears of gratuity, which is pending consideration before respondent no.2. He submits that a direction be issued to the respondent no.2 to decide the aforesaid representations within a stipulated period. Learned Standing Counsel submits that the aforesaid representations filed by the petitioner will be decided by respondent no.2 in a time bound manner. In view of the aforesaid, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.2 to consider and decide the representations dated 28.1.2025 and 17.4.2025 filed by the petitioner for payment of arrears of gratuity as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order. It is clarified that this Court has not decided the issue on merits and the respondent authority shall independently apply its mind and pass appropriate order in accordance with law.
