The petitioner has filed this writ petition on the following reliefs: “10.1. That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly issue appropriate directions to call for the entire record pertaining to the petitioner’s land acquisition from the respondent authorities. 10.2 That, the Hon’ble Court may kindly issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to re-calculate and pay compensation by applying a multiplication factor of “2” as per applicable laws, along with the deficit amount (i.e., difference from multiplier “4”) and interest thereon. 10.3 That, the Hon’ble Court may kindly direct the respondents to calculate the compensation based on the market value prevailing on the date of execution of the Sale Deed, without depreciating the 30% Market value in accordance with the policy and state circulars. 3 10.4 That, the Hon’ble Court may kindly grant any other relief as deemed fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case in the favour of the petitioner, in the interest of justice.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner prays for a direction to respondent no. 2 to decide the representation (Annexure P/9) filed by the petitioner. 3. Learned counsel for the State opposes the submission made by the counsel for the petitioner. 4. Heard learned counsel for the respective parties and perused the record with utmost circumspection. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and looking to the limited prayer of the petitioner, respondent no. 2 is directed to decide the representation Annexure P/9 filed by the petitioner in accordance with law, rules and regulations. 6. With the aforesaid observation/direction, the present petition is disposed of. 7. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
