ORDER:
1. The present writ petition is filed seeking a direction for release of the admitted bill amount of Rs.1,73,414/-. The petitioner was entrusted the work of supply of gravel, sand, silt, etc., which was duly supplied, and the supplies were also quantified and certified by the respondent authorities. The payment of the bill was also approved. 2. The learned Standing counsel appearing for the Municipal Corporation submits that, on account of the wrong mentioning of the name of the petitioner in the writ petition, the instructions which were received earlier stated that no such work had been executed by the petitioner. However, considering the endorsements made by the concerned officers in the M- books, and taking into account the work was on nomination basis and the bill amount is Rs.1,73,414/-, there shall be a direction to the respondents to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3. With the above direction, the present writ petition is disposed off. There shall be no order as to costs.
