Supplementary affidavit filed today is taken on record. 2. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 3. The instant writ petition has been filed for following relief: "(i) issue nature a writ, order or direction in the of mandamus restraining the contesting respondents/ respondent no. 5 to 14 not to create third party right or change the nature of land and to maintain status quo during pendency of appeal before the respondent no.2. (ii)issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.2 to decide the stay application filed in Appeal No. 202514000000, Under Section 207 of Revenue Code within stipulated and reasonable period." 4. Contention of the learned counsel for the petitioners is that the stay application as well as appeal are pending before respondent no.2 for adjudication. He prayed that the same may be decided expeditiously. 5. No useful purpose would be served in keeping this petition pending. 6. The present petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 2 to consider and decide the stay application filed by the petitioners in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order. It is expected that the appeal itself be decided within a period of six months, thereafter after ensuring service of notice upon all the respondents and after giving opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned provided that there is no other legal impediment.
