Learned counsel for the State submits that the service book of the petitioner, along with certain relevant documents, is not presently available with the respondent department and may have been misplaced. In this regard, the authorities have already issued a letter dated 03.08.2023 to the petitioner, requesting copies of the said documents. 2. In response, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is ready and willing to furnish copies of the required documents. It is further submitted that the respondent authorities may be directed to consider and decide the petitioner’s claim for service-related benefits upon receipt of such documents. 3. I have heard counsel for the parties and perused the documents available on record. 4. In view of the above facts and circumstances, and taking into consideration the State's assertion that the original service book and relevant records are not traceable, and the petitioner’s willingness to provide copies thereof, the present writ petition is disposed of with the following directions that The petitioner shall submit copies of the relevant documents, including the service book, to the competent authority within a period of two weeks from today and Upon receipt 3 WPS No.4678 of 2023 of the aforesaid documents, the respondent authorities shall consider and decide the petitioner’s claim for service-related benefits within a period of 30 days, strictly in accordance with the applicable rules, regulations, and law. 5.
