JUSTICE WASIM SADIQ NARGAL, JUDGE ORDER 05.08.2025 The instant contempt petition arises out of order/judgment dated 13.05.2024 passed with the consensus of the learned counsel for the parties whereby the writ petition was disposed of at the very threshold by directing the respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner by treating the writ petition as a representation and take a decision thereby strictly under rules and the respondents were directed to pass a consideration order within a period of six weeks from the date certified copy of the order and complete set of writ petition, alongwith its annexures are provided to the respondents. Since the aforesaid order was not complied with within the time granted by this Court and the instant contempt petition has been preferred in which the notice was issued on 25.11.2024. Mr. Monika Thakur, Assisting Counsel to Mr. S. S. Nanda, learned Sr. AAG appearing on behalf of the respondents assures the Court that the Sr. No. 29 2 CCP(S) No. 395/2024 In WP(C) No. 1046/2024 order/judgment passed by this Court shall be complied with within a period of two weeks. In the light of the assurance extended by the learned counsel for the respondents, no fruitful purpose will be served to keep this contempt petition alive and accordingly, proceedings in the contempt petition are closed and rule, if any, shall stand discharged. It is made clear that in case if the order/judgment is not complied with within the extended time granted by this Court petitioner will be at liberty to revive the instant contempt petition and in that eventuality, this Court will be constrained to initiate coercive measure against the respondents.
