Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record. 3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the ninth respondent, after collecting garbage and solid waste from hospitals, hotels, workplaces, etc., is dumping the same in a reserved forest area, as well as on Government poromboke land and in water bodies, thereby causing air and water pollution and resulting in the spread of diseases. 4. It is seen from the records that the eighth respondent has addressed a communication dated 02.02.2026 to the fifth respondent seeking clarification/information with regard to Survey Nos.287, 312, and 157, 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.(MD)No.35855 of 2025 where garbage and solid waste are being dumped. The eighth respondent has also sought details regarding the extent and ownership of the said survey numbers and has initiated steps to remove the garbage and solid waste from the said lands. 5. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the eighth respondent to take necessary steps to remove the garbage and solid waste dumped in Survey Nos.287, 312, and 157, after obtaining the requisite information from the seventh respondent. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. There shall be no order as to costs.
