The petitioner who is working as Assistant Teacher (LB) has filed this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for grant of medical reimbursement of Rs. 68380/- incurred on account of illness of his son who was admitted on 12.05.2025 at Apollo Hospital Bilaspur and discharged on 14.05.2025. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a certificate was issued by the Chief Medical and Health Officer, District- Korba on 06.06.2025 according to which, the petitioner has claimed Rs. 88014.11 and as per CGHS rate Rs. 68380/- has been sanctioned. In pursuance of direction issued by this Court on 31.10.2025, Dr. U.S. Painkra, Director, Medical Education is present before this Court through video conferencing and would submit that a circular has been issued by them on 11.11.2025 regarding the time schedule which has to be followed while sanctioning the medical reimbursement. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in pursuance of direction issued by this Court on 31.10.2025, the petitioner has already submitted the application for medical reimbursement form in prescribed proforma which has been considered and forwarded by the Block Education Officer to the Direction, Medical Education on 04.11.2025 and it has been acknowledged by the Director, Medical Education that there is some error in the form which are likely to be corrected by the department for medical reimbursement very soon. 5. Since the State has already issued circular regarding scheduled programme for medical reimbursement and the grievance of the petitioner shall be redressed as per the circular issued by the State, therefore, at this juncture, it is directed that the State through its officials will adhere the time schedule given in the circular regarding reimbursement of medical expenses incurred by the Government servant. 6. Accordingly, the instant writ petition stands disposed of. 7. This Court hope and trust that all the government officials should follow the time schedule for medical reimbursement without any hindrance and if any official intends to avoid the time schedule fixed by the Government for medical reimbursement, this Court will take serious view. This Court appreciates the sincere efforts made by Dr. U.S. Painkra, Director, Medical Education in resolving the issue regarding long pendency of bills for medical expenses incurred by the Government servants.
