1. This is an o0ce reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 21.06.2023 passed in MCRC No. 3567 of 2023, while rejecting the bail to the applicant, namely, Anand Salma and Darshan Singh had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certi>ed copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. Earlier on two occasions also this Court had granted extension of time for compliance of the order dated 21.06.2023.
4. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Bilaspur District-Bilaspur (C.G.) vide her request letter dated 10.10.2025 has requested for grant of three months additional time for concluding the trial.
5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that in the present case, the case is >xed for recording the statement of the Investigating O0cer. Summons and bailable warrants for securing the presence of the witnesses are being issued through the Nodal O0cer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Headquarters, Bilaspur. However, due to the non-appearance of the witnesses, unnecessary delay is being caused in the proceedings of the case. The witnesses are not appearing on the scheduled dates. At present, a total of 291 NDPS cases are pending before the competent Court, out of which 52 cases are time-bound matters. Continuous eDorts are being made for their expeditious disposal. Therefore, it is most respectfully submitted that, for the >nal disposal of the present case, an additional period of three months is required.
6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of three months from today.
7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed o7 with the aforesaid direction.
8. Registry is directed to send a certi>ed copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/- (Ramesh Sinha)
