Order on Board 10.10.2025
1. This is an office reference. 2. This Court, vide order dated 20.12.2024 passed in MCRC No. 7874 of 2024, while allowing the bail to the applicant, namely, Smt. Sarla, had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months, if there was no legal impediment. 3. Earlier on one occasion also, this Court had granted extension of time for compliance of the order dated 20.12.2024. KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN

4. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Bastar at Jagdalpur District-Bastar (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 22.09.2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial. 5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in the present case, summons and warrants, along with memorandums, are being continuously issued to the witnesses, however, due to the fact that the summons/warrants issued to them have not been fully executed and as many of the witnesses are engaged in line/order duties, their presence could not be ensured, resulting in the evidence not being recorded. Most of the prosecution witnesses, particularly those belonging to the Police Department, have remained absent despite the issuance of summons and warrants, generally due to their official duties, transfers, or postings. It is therefore submitted that a maximum period of five months may be required, as after securing the presence of the remaining six witnesses (two independent witnesses and four police witnesses), the recording of evidence, followed by the examination of the accused under Section 313, and the defence evidence, if any, are likely to take additional time. 6.
The request made by the learned trial Court, is allowed, however, instead of granting five months, this Court deems it appropriate to grant further 04 months time for concluding the trial from today. 7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 8. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/- (Ramesh Sinha)
