GP FOR HOME 3 The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, has been filed, by the Petitioners for the following relief: “ ... to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondents 3 and 4 pressurizing the petitioners to pay an amount of Rs.6,00,000/- (rupees six lakhs only) to respondent No.6 besides taking the signatures of the petitioners forcefully on an empty white paper and threatened them to vacate from their house immediately and also settle the disputes without any legal cause and the said action of the police is per-se illegal, arbitrary and violation of well settled legal principles as illegal, arbitrary and violation of Articles 19 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents 3 and 4 to forbear from interfering with the personal liberty of the petitioners and their family members not to interfere with the civil disputes and pass ...” Heard learned counsel for the Petitioners and Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home representing for respondent State. Perused the material on record. Learned counsel for the Petitioners would submit that respondent Police are interfering in the civil disputes pending between the Petitioners and the respondent No.6. Learned Assistant Government Pleader on instructions would submit that based on the written complaint lodged by respondent No.6, a case in Crime No.249 of 2024 is registered by respondent Police against the petitioners. Except registration of the case, respondent Police never interfered in the civil disputes pending between the parties. Learned Assistant Government Pleader requested to dispose of the Writ Petition by passing appropriate orders. 4 Recording the submissions made, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Respondent Police are directed not to interfere in the civil disputes pending between the parties except under due process of law. No order as to costs.
