Heard Shri Parv Agarwal, learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned Standing Counsel accepted notice on behalf of Respondent No.3. 2. Award dated 24.01.2025 passed by the Permanent Lok Adalat Aligarh/Respondent No. 2 in P.L.A. Case No. 73 of 2020 (Bhagwat Singh Vs. OICL and Ors) is under challenge in the present writ petition. By the aforesaid award, a direction was given to the petitioner to deposit the sum of Rs.5,00,000/- in favour of the Respondent No. 1 namely Bhagwat Singh. 3. Matter requires consideration. 4. Learned Standing Counsel accepted notice on behalf of Respondent No. 3. Issue notice to Respondent No. 1. Steps be taken within ten days. 5. Respondent no.1 is granted six weeks' time to file counter affidavit. Petitioner will have two weeks thereafter to file Rejoinder affidavit. 6. List after the exchange of affidavits. 7. Pending final disposal of the present writ petition, the impugned award of the Permanent Lok Adalat shall remain stayed subject to the following conditions:- The petitioner shall deposit the entire amount as awarded by the Permanent Lok Adalat within a period of six weeks from today. Tribunal concerned is directed to release 50% of the total deposited amount to the claimant/s without security. However, Tribunal concerned is further directed to keep remaining/balance 50% of the total deposited amount in a short term Fixed Deposit of a nationalized bank, which will be renewed time to time till the payment is made or till further orders of the Court, whichever is applicable.
