GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus to declare the action of respondents more particularly respondent Nos.2 and 3 in freezing the petitioner's account bearing A/c No.919010072800416 of Axis Bank Nitin Complex, Saptagiri Circle, Subash road, Anantapuram without following due process of Law as arbitrary and illegal, highhanded and amounts to violation of Article 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India” 2. Heard Sri B.Sarvotham Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Md.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 2 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that the petitioner is not an accused in Crime No. 356 of 2020 of Yemmiganur Urban Police Station and that his brother is A5 in the case. Learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that, based on the confessional statement of the petitioner’s brother, the petitioner’s bank account has been frozen. 4. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedies before the concerned Magistrate Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
