By the present appeal, the appellant is assailing the judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 24.06.2017 passed by the learned Special Judge (Under Prevention of Corruption Act), Rajnandgaon (C.G.) in Special Criminal Case No. 01/2013 for the offence punishable under Section 13(1)(d) r/w 13(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and Section 120-B of the IPC and sentenced to undergo R.I. for 2 years and fine amount of Rs. 2,000/- with usual default stipulation. 2. Learned counsel for the parties would submit that the appellant died on 18.08.2019. Copy of the death certificate has been produced by the learned State counsel. The same is taken on record. 3.
