COMMON ORDER:
The instant petition under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘BNSS’) has been filed by the Petitioners / Accused Nos.1 to 4 and 8, seeking to quash the proceedings against them in F.I.R.No.82 of 2025 on the file of Bommuru Police Station, East Godavari District registered for the offences under Sections 324(6), 137(2), 118(1), 109(1) and 351(3) read with 3 (5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘BNS’). 2. I.A.Nos.3 and 4 of 2025 are filed by Respondent No.2 seeking permission to compound the offences and to record the compromise between him and the Petitioners/Accused Nos.1 to 4 and 8. 3. Petitioners / Accused Nos.1 to 4 and 8 and Respondent No.2 appeared before this Court and were identified by their respective learned counsel. Copies of their Aadhar cards attested by their respective counsel are filed for proper identification. 4.
Both parties would submit that they came to an amicable settlement for withdrawal of the case in F.I.R.No.82 of 2025 on the file of Bommuru Police Station, East Godavari District pending between them and a Joint Memo is also filed to that effect. Respondent No.2 submits

that, at the intervention of elders and well-wishers of both parties, the matter has been settled between the parties and that he does not want to prosecute the matter, and hence, the case against the Petitioners may be closed. 5. Considering the submissions, in the light of the judgment of the Hon’ble Apex Court in Gian Singh vs. State of Punjab and another1, in terms of the mediation held between the parties, since there is an amicable settlement between them, I.A.Nos.3 and 4 of 2025 are allowed. Consequently, the Criminal Petition is allowed and the case against the Petitioners / Accused Nos.1 to 4 and 8 in F.I.R.No.82 of 2025 on the file of Bommuru Police Station, East Godavari District for the offences under Sections 324(6), 137(2), 118(1), 109(1) and 351(3) read with 3 (5) of BNS, is hereby quashed, on payment of costs of Rs.3,000/- each by Petitioners / Accused Nos.1 to 4 and 8 to the Legal Services Authority, High Court of Andhra Pradesh, within one week. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. ________________________________________
