JUSTICE VINOD CHATTERJI KOUL, JUDGE ORDER 19.03.2025 It is stated by the learned counsel for the respondents that the land in question stands acquisitionand award stands passed in favour of the rightful owners. Hence, this writ petition has become infructuous because petitioners were seeking the direction to de-notify the land. Per contra,Mr. Vinod Kotwal, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that since the award has been passed, therefore, he may be given liberty to approach the respondents by making a representation and respondents may be asked to consider and decide his representation as and when filedin accordance with the law after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that in case, the fresh representation is made, the same would be considered and decided on merits. 13 2 WP(C) No. 2458/2022 In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this petition is disposed of at this stage by providing liberty to the petitioners that in case the petitioners make representation within a period of one week, the respondents shall consider his representation by passing a reasonable order within period of six weeks from the date of the representation made by the petitioners.
