Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs:- (i) “That writ of mandamus may kindly be issued, directing the respondents to declare the petitioner pass the subject of Economics of Agroforestry System of 3rd Semester of M.Sc. (Forestry) as per marks-sheet (Annexure P-2) and award him degree of M.Sc. (forestry), since 1st 2nd and 4th semester have already been passed by the petitioner or in the alternative, to re-evaluate/re-check the answer-sheet of the petitioner (Annexure P-7) and award him appropriate marks for the answers to question 2 No.5 of the question paper (Annexure P-3). (ii) That writ of mandamus may kindly be issued, directing the respondents to pay compensation to the petitioner to the tune of Rs.5,00,000/- for spoiling the bright career of the petitioner and causing him undue harassment and mental agony.” 2. A perusal of the petition demonstrates that the petitioner is aggrieved by the acts of omission and commission of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Srinagar (Garhwal) Uttrakhand. 3. Confronted with the question as to how this petition is maintainable in the State of Himachal Pradesh, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for and is permitted to withdraw the petition with liberty to file the same in the appropriate Fora having territorial jurisdiction.
