PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following: COMMON ORDER: The instant petition under Section 528 of BNSS has been filed by the Petitioners / Accused Nos.1 to 5, seeking quashment of the proceedings against them in Crime No.390 of 2023 on the file of Mangalagiri Police Station, Guntur District for the offences under Section 498-A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 2. I.A.Nos.1 and 2 of 2025 are filed by Respondent No.2/De facto complainant seeking permission to compound the offences and compromise the matter with the Petitioners. 3. Petitioner / Accused No.1 appeared through Video Conference from Canada. Petitioners / Accused Nos.2 to 5 and Respondent No.2, appeared physically before this Court and were identified by their respective learned counsel. Copies of their Aadhar cards attested by their respective counsel are filed for proper identification. 4. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor is in attendance. 5. Both parties would submit that they came to an amicable settlement and filed a joint memo to that effect for withdrawal of the present case pending between them. Respondent No.2 would submit that at the intervention of well- wishers and elders on both sides, the matter is settled amicably out of the Court agreeing to dissolve the marriage by mutual consent and also to 3 withdraw the pending cases against the Accused. She would further submit that, she has no objection for quashment of the case against the Petitioners / Accused Nos.1 to 5. 6. Considering the submissions, in view of the compromise between the parties, and in the interest of justice, I.A.Nos.1 and 2 of 2025 are allowed. Consequently, the Criminal Petition is allowed and the case against the Petitioners / Accused Nos.1 to 5 in Crime No.390 of 2023 on the file of Mangalagiri Police Station, Guntur District, is hereby quashed.
