Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. 2. The petitioner is aggrieved by the order dated 10.03.2025 CrI.M.P. No.330 of 2025 in Crl.A.No.31 of 2025 in C.C. No.326 of 2023. by the IV Additional Sessions Judge, Tanuku, whereby the learned Sessions Judge suspended the execution of sentence of imprisonment imposed against the petitioner in C.C. No.326 of 2023 subject to deposit of 20% of the cheque amount with the trial court. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner may be permitted to deposit 10% of the amount, as directed by the learned IV Additional Sessions Judge, Tanuku. 4. In accordance with the provisions of Section 148 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, the Sessions Judge is vested with discretionary power to suspend the sentence, subject to the condition of depositing 20% of the cheque amount within a period of 60 days. 5. Now, the petitioner is only seeking an extension of time for compliance with the order, dated 10.03.2025, passed in CrI.M.P. No.330 of 2025 in CrI.A. No.31 of 2025 on the file of the IV Additional Sessions Judge, Tanuku. passed in 3 CRLP. No.5144 of 2025 6. Hence, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the reasoned order passed by the learned Sessions Judge. However, considering the request for an extension of time, the time granted for deposit of 20% of the cheque amount stands extended till 05.06.2025. 7. With the above, the criminal petition is disposed of. 8. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
