The Court of learned Principal Sessions Judge, Kulgam is seized of trial of a criminal case titled “UT of J&K Vs. Bilal Ahmad Dar and Ors.” for alleged commission of offences under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. 2. Two accused persons came forward with the present bail petition filed on 10.01.2025 after having suffered rejection of their bail application by a composite order dated 27.12.2024. 3. During the pendency of present bail petition, the Prosecution has come to led and laid its entire evidence. 4. As such, the criminal case is on the verge of its final proceedings even if the Defence might have availed the opportunity of leading defence evidence. 5. Therefore, this Court is of the view that the petitioners would be better served to earn final judgment in the criminal case attending upon them. 6. The present bail petition is, thus, dismissed by urging the trial court of learned Principal Sessions Judge, Kulgam to ensure that the trial of the criminal case is given due pace for its final adjudication. 7.
