PUBLIC PROSECUTOR 2. The Court made the following Order: Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is arrayed as accused No.7 in Crime No. 199 of 2022 on the file of Macherla 2. Town Police Station, Palnadu district. It is submitted that the said crime was registered on 17.12.2022 initially alleging offences under Sections 143, 147, 148, 448, 427, 436, 323 read with 149 of IPC. It is submitted that after a lapse 2 C" of two years, the police have altered the provision of law and also added additional accused as co-accused and sections 307, 435, 436 and 324 have been additionally added. It is submitted that the petitioner was injured and he filed a complaint which was registered as Crime No.198 of 2022 and the 2'"'^ respondent’s husband was arrayed as accused No.5. It is submitted that as a counter blast, this complaint is filed against the petitioner and now the police have altered the provision of law. It is submitted that there was a political dispute and the petitioners are alleged to have attacked the opposition party on account of the altercation and case and counter case have been registered. It is submitted that at any rate, the police could not have altered the of law after a period of two years. The learned Assistant Government Pleader submits that the petitioner had already filed a petition seeking bail before arrest, which dismissed by this Court. provision 3. was The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was directed to appear before the trial Court. Be that as it may, considering the submission that the police have altered the provision of law after a period of two years and the case filed by the petitioner against the 2"^' respondent’s husband vide Crime No. 198 of 2022 and Crime No. 199 of 2022 was registered against the petitioner and others, the Station House Officer, Macherla Town Police Station, Palnadu district, is directed to complete the investigation, without taking any coercive 4. 5. 3 f*W steps against the petitioner. This order would not preclude the Station House Officer/Investigating Officer from filing final report/charge sheet. 6. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.
