This Court, vide order dated 21.12.2023 passed in MCRC No. 6254 of 2023, while allowing the bail to the petitioner, namely, Vikas Das Mahant, had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of passing of the order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. Earlier on one occasion also this Court had granted extension of time for compliance of the order dated 21.12.2023. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Raigarh (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 29.08.2025 has again requested for 06 months’ time for concluding the trial stating that till now out of 17 prosecution witnesses only 09 witnesses have been examined and in spite of summons being issued against the rest of the witnesses, they are not appearing before the trial Court for recording of their evidence. 5. The request made by the learned trial Court, is allowed, however, instead of granting 06 months, this Court deems it appropriate to grant further 04 months time for concluding the trial from today. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed o3 with the aforesaid direction. 7.
