GP FOR HOME (AP) The Court made the following: 3 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE BATTU DEVANAND WRIT PETITION NO.13176 OF 2016 O R D E R:- This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring that the Respondent Nos.3 & 4 cannot settle the civil disputes and cannot interfere with the petitioners fundamental right to move freely and to reside in their residential house at House No. 8-11-108B 7/1, Nehru Nagar, Guntur - 522 001 without interference by Respondent Nos.3 & 4 except in accordance with law. 2. There is no representation for the petitioners. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appears for the respondents. 3. The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for the respondents has placed a copy of the written instructions, dated 17.09.2025 and basing on the said instructions he would submit that two (02) criminal cases were registered against the father of the petitioners. A case in Crime No.52 of 2016 was registered under Sections 420, 406 of IPC of Lalapet Police Station against the father of the petitioners and after investigation police filed charge sheet and it is numbered as C.C.No.3371 of 2019, dated 11.11.2019. Subsequently, both the parties settled the matter on 29.06.2024 before the National Lok Adalat. Another case in Crime No.77 of 4 2016 registered under Sections 323, 506 and 352 of IPC against the father of the petitioners on the Lalapet Police Station was also settled before the National Lok Adalat on 16.03.2024. On perusal of the written instructions submitted by the 4th respondent, it appears that the present writ petition is filed at the stage when the criminal cases filed against the father of the petitioners are pending. The instructions placed before this Court reveals that now both the criminal cases registered against the father of the petitioners were settled before the National Lok Adalat. 4. In view of the above factual position, in our considered view, no further adjudication is required in the present Writ Petition. 5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. 6. There shall be no order as to costs. 7.
