Heard Mr. Ajay Kumar Chandra, learned counsel for the petitioner as well as Ms. Upasana Mehta, Dy. Government Advocate for the State/respondents No.1 to 4. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has moved an application for settlement of the forest land in which he has constructed house and residing upon the same since last 40 years. 3. Learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that subject to due verification and scrutiny of the claim of the petitioner, appropriate steps shall be taken at the earliest within a period of 60 days. 4. In view of the above submission made by the parties and as the petitioner has moved appropriate application before the authority concerned, however, it has not been decided. The authorities concerned are directed to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner within an outer limit of 45 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. 5.
