This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents for non-payment of the bills for the contingent works undertaken by the petitioner. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent- Corporation. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed the work, viz.,repair and recondition of Eicher Pro 1095T model mini compactor 1) AP 07 TH 6820, 2) AP 07 TH 6804 and TATA LP 1010 CRX MODEL MINI COMPACTOR, 3) AP 07 TH 7984 at vehicle shed in Guntur Municipal Corporation and 2) Rs.65,741/- pertaining to work namely repair and recondition of AP 7 AT 8434 Back Hoe Loader (JCB 4 DX) HMT Tractor AP 07 TW 0093 and supply and fixing of 1 HP Motor at Etukuru Dog Shed in Guntur Municipal Corporation, as entrusted by the 8th respondent. 4. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed all the works to the satisfaction of the 8th respondent. It is further submitted that even after carrying out the repairs and hand over the 3 W.P. No.26713 OF 2025 Date of order: 25.09.2025 equipment, the 8th respondent has not released the payment, though the bills submitted for contingent charges were approved by the competent authority. 5. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 8th respondent does not dispute the submissions made by the petitioner with respect to the completion of the work undertaken and that the bill payable to the petitioner would be released after due verification. 6. Considering the submissions, respondents 2, 3, 5 to 8 are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 8. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ____________________ JUSTICE HARINATH.N BV
