The petitioner by way of filing CAN No.1 of 2024 prays for recalling of the order dated May 17, 2024 dismissing the writ petition for default. 2. CAN No.2 of 2024 is an application under section 5 of the Limitation Act, 1963 praying for condonation of delay in filing the restoration application. 3. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the said applications and being satisfied with the reasons mentioned therein for non- appearance of the learned counsel on the day the matter was taken up for consideration, I allow the applications, recall the order dated May 17, 2024 and restore the writ petition to its original file and number. 4. Let the writ petition come up for consideration as a motion on February 26, 2025. 5. Learned counsel for the State shall come ready with instruction on the returnable date as to why the firearms of the petitioner have not been released, despite he having a valid arms licence in respect of both the firearms. 6. All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court. 7.
