This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents for non-payment of the bills for the works undertaken by the petitioner. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent- Corporation. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed the work, viz., providing GSB approach road from Indian Oil petrol pump to check post in Markapuram road in Vinukonda Municipality, vide agreement No.255/2022-23, dt.22.02.2023, as entrusted by the 4th respondent. 4. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed the work to the satisfaction of 4th respondent. It is further submitted that after execution of the works, progress of the work was recorded in the M book and thereafter the petitioner has submitted a final bill for a sum of Rs.2,75,652/- and the 4th respondent approved the same, but so far no payment has been made to the petitioner. 5. During the course of the hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 4th respondent does not dispute the submissions 3 W.P. No.26641 OF 2025 Date of order: 25.09.2025 made by the petitioner with respect to the completion of the work undertaken. 6. Considering the submissions, respondents 2, 4 and 7 are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 8. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ____________________ JUSTICE HARINATH.N BV
