The present application is filed for condonation of delay of 510 days caused in preferring the appeal against conviction. 02. We have heard the learned Counsel for the applicant and the learned A.P.P. for the State. 03. In paragraphs 7 and 8 of the application, it is submitted that the applicant is in jail and the relatives of the applicant are rustic persons, being not aware of the steps to be taken for challenging the impugned judgment. Further it is submitted that in collecting the documents and the certified copies of the record, it has taken some time and, therefore, there was a delay of 510 days. 04. The learned A.P.P. has vehemently opposed the application. 05. Considering the reasons, which are set out in paragraphs 7 and 8, we deem it appropriate to condone the delay. The delay of 510 days caused in preferring the appeal is hereby condoned. We direct the Registry to register the appeal. 06.
