GP FOR ENDOWMENTS 3 THE HONOURABLE SMT JUSTICE KIRANMAYEE MANDAVA WRIT PETITION NO: 24610 OF 2025 The Court made the following order: Heard Sri Kondaveeti Prasada Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Endowments appearing for the respondent Nos.1 to 5 and Sri Naga Praveen Vankayalapati, learned counsel for respondent Nos.6 to 13. 2. The instant writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to conduct open auction for grant of leasehold rights in respect of land over an extent of Ac.31-17 cents, an extent of Ac.34-73 cents and an extent of Ac.7-58 cents for agricultural season 2025-2026, belonging to Sri Chennakesava Swamyvari Temple, Sri Venugopala Swamyvari Temple and Sri Veerabhadraswamy Temple respectively. 3. It is stated that, in the said regard, the petitioner had got issued a legal notice to the 5th respondent for conducting a public auction. 4. The unofficial respondents, who were impleaded as Respondent Nos.6 to 13 in the writ petition, contend that they are the existing lessees and seeking an extension of the lease for one more year, have filed a representation dated 15.09.2025 before the 2nd respondent. However, the said representation has not been taken up for consideration. 5. Having regard to the submissions made, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the respondents to take an 4 appropriate decision with regard to conduct of the auction in respect of the subject lands, after duly considering and disposing of the representation filed by respondent Nos.6 to 13. 6. It is needless to observe that both the petitioner and respondent Nos.6 to 13 shall be given an opportunity of hearing. The entire process shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
