The application dated 16.03.2023 for grant of fire-arm license is pending consideration before the respondent no.2-District Magistrate, Kanpur Nagar hence present writ petition. 3. The instructions received from respondent no.2 dated 23.04.2025 was placed before the Court, same is taken on record. 4. It is stated in the aforesaid instructions that petitioner was directed to appear before the authorities for personal hearing on 30.04.2025. Thereafter necessary decision will be taken by the respondent no.2 expeditiously. 5. Heard learned counsel for the parties. 6. With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is being disposed of at the admission stage itself. 7. In the facts and circumstances of the case, petitioner is directed to appear before the authorities concerned as per letter dated 23.04.2025. In case it is so the authority concerned is directed to take a decision in the matter strictly in accordance with law expeditiously and preferably within a period of six weeks, thereafter, if there is no legal impediment.
