The petitioner is seeking directions to the respondents to compensate him for the death of his son, namely, Rajkumar Abhaya Kumar in police custody. 3. We are informed that the Human Rights Commission had taken cognizance of the incident and upon its recommendation, the State Government paid to the petitioner an amount of Rs. 6,50,000/-. In addition, Rs. 1,00,000/- was paid in terms of Government policy. Thus, the petitioner has in all received an amount of Rs. 7,50,000/-. 4. The petitioner has claimed Rs. 53,25,000/-. The amount of compensation, according to us, is something that would require detail analysis including evidence in support. In the circumstances, we grant liberty to the petitioner to approach the Civil Court, if he so desired. 5. With the aforesaid liberty, the petition is disposed of. (Y. G. KHOBRAGADE, J.) (A. L.
