The petitioner was appointed as Full Time Menial (FTM) with effect from 19.02.2024 in Mar Augustine Memorial (M.A.M.) High School, Koratty, an Aided School managed by the 4th respondent in a promotion vacancy. 2. The petitioner was appointed under the category of Persons with Disability (PwD) by the Manager by inviting list from the Employment Exchange and after conducting interview from among the candidates. The proposal for approval of appointment was rejected by 3rd respondent. Against the rejection order, the Manager filed appeal before the W.P.(C)No.11355 of 2025 :4: 2025:KER:26796 Deputy Director of Education, Thrissur, but the same was also rejected. 3. In the meanwhile, the petitioner approached the 1st respondent pointing out that she is a candidate coming under Persons with Disability (PwD) category and that the approval is being denied without any valid reason and requested to take effective measures to approve her appointment. Ext-P4 petition is pending consideration. 4. I have heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader representing respondents 1 to 3. 5. The petitioner would submit that there is a vacancy of Full Time Menial in the School and the petitioner is appointed in the said vacancy. There is no reason to reject the proposal for approval of the petitioner’s appointment. The petitioner has approached the 1st respondent filing Ext.P4. In W.P.(C)No.11355 of 2025 :5: 2025:KER:26796 the facts of the case, I am of the view that it would be only in the interest of justice that the 1st respondent considers Ext.P4 and takes appropriate decision thereon in accordance with law. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of directing the 1st respondent to consider Ext.P4 representation and take appropriate decision thereon within a period of four months, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
