D KODANDARAMI REDDY Counsel for the Respondent/complainant.- 1.PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the BharatiyaNagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A6, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.207 of 2024 of Venkatagiri Police Station, Tirupathi District. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner/A6 herein and others for the offence punishable under Section 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(C)of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short [the NDPS Act'). 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 21.12.2024, at about 04.00 am, on credible information, the sub-Inspector of Police, Venkatagiri Police Station, along with his staff and mediators, rushed near the bushes located on the eastern side of the Railway gate of Venkatagiri and found nine persons including Petitioner/A6 in possession of total 22.400 Kgs of Ganja. The contraband was seized under cover of a mediators report and the petitioner/A6 along with others were arrested under the cover of mahazarnama dated 21.12.2024. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. A perusal of the material on record goes to showthat the police, on credible information, arrested the accused and seized total 22.400 Kgs of Ganja on 21.12.2024. lt is pertinent to mention here that the petitioner/A6 has made a confessional statement before the police. In the mediators report, I-t iS Stated that the petitioner/A6 Was arrested and seized 3.050 grams from his possession. Petitioner/A6 was arrested on 21.12.2024 and since then he is in judicial remand. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that major portion of investigation is 6. ln view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner herein/A6 on the following conditions. i) The petitioner/A6 shall be released on bail on his executing a personal bond fort Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned I Additional District & Sessions Judge, Nellore. ii) On release, the petitioner shall appear before the station House Officer concerned, once in a week i.e., on every saturday between 10.00 am and O1.00 pm, till filing of the charge sheet. 7.
