(2 of 2) [CRLMA-622/2025]
Learned counsel for the applicants submits that vide order dated 27.03.2024, while reducing the sentence of the applicants to the period already undergone, this Court maintained the fine amount as imposed by the appellate court and granted three months’ time to deposit the same before the trial court. Counsel submits that for the one or the other reason, the applicants could not deposit the fine amount before the trial court within the stipulated period and therefore, they have been sent to judicial custody in compliance of the order of this Court dated 27.03.2024. Thus, it is prayed that time to deposit the fine amount may be extended. In view of submissions made and for the reasons mentioned in the application, same is allowed. Fifteen’ days more time is granted to the applicants to deposit the fine amount as ordered by this Court vide order dated 27.03.2024 passed in S.B. Criminal Revision Petition No.1090/2004. Upon depositing the fine amount before the trial court within the stipulated period, the applicants shall be released forthwith.
