Page 1 of 4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.13881 of 2025 For Petitioner : Mr.R.Nalliyappan For Respondents : Mr.A.Gopinath Government Advocate (Crl.side) O RDER This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents 2 to 4 to hand over the gate key of the Arulmigu Kaliamman Temple existing at Parukkal Village, Ariyalur District to the petitioner enable to perform daily poojas and other customary rituals by considering the representation of the petitioner herein dated 02.04.2025. 2. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record. 3. It is seen that there is a dispute between the petitioner group and the counter parties in respect of title over the temple called Arulmigu Kaliamman Temple situated at Parukkal Village, Ariyalur District. In this regard, the complaint has been referred before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Udayarpalayam, Ariyalur District. In order to initiate proceedings, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Udayarpalayam, Ariyalur District issued summons to the petitioner and the counter parties. However, the petitioner failed to appear for the enquiry. 4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that now the https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.13881 of 2025 temple is closed without conducting daily pooja. 5. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents submitted that though the fourth respondent specifically suggested to nominate one neutral person between the petitioner group and counter parties, both the parties are not agreeing for the same. 6. In view of the above, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Udayarpalayam, Ariyalur District is directed to conduct enquiry on this issue and after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the counter parties, pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the meanwhile, the fourth respondent is directed to appoint a neutral person to conduct daily pooja in the Arulmigu Kaliamman Temple situated at Parukkal Village, Ariyalur District. 7.
