The State of Andhra Pradesh and others ...Respondents ********** Advocate for Petitioner: Mr. Thandava Yogesh Advocate(s) for Respondent(s): Advocate General CORAM : THE CHIEF JUSTICE DHIRAJ SINGH THAKUR SRI JUSTICE RAVI CHEEMALAPATI DATE : 29th January, 2025 P C : The issues which have been raised in the present PIL are also issues which are currently before the Apex Court. Learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that the directions issued by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Prakash Singh and others v. Union of India and others [(2006) 8 SCC 1] and clarified subsequently by virtue of orders, dated 03.07.2018 and 13.03.2019 as reported in (2019) 4 SCC 13 and (2019) 4 SCC 1, have been violated insofar as the appointment of the Director General of Police is concerned. It is stated that the panel of Officers who were left with at least six months of residual service that was required to be sent to the Union Public Service Commission had not been sent. 2 HCJ & RC,J WP(PIL)_13_2025 However, learned counsel for the petitioner does not deny the fact that the issues which have been raised are currently being dealt with by the Apex Court. In our opinion, it may not be proper for us to start parallel proceedings. In case the petitioner has any grievance, he may avail the appropriate remedy, if so advised. The W.P(PIL) is accordingly disposed of. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. DHIRAJ SINGH THAKUR, CJ RAVI CHEEMALAPATI, J Vjl
