1. By this application, the applicant is seeking condonation of delay which is caused in preferring the appeal under Section 14-A of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
2. In view of the reasons mentioned in the application that the appellant is in jail and there is nobody to look after and to arrange for his defence and to do the legal formalities, and therefore, delay of 485 days is caused. Considering the right of the present applicant to prefer the appeal which is a statutory right is involved, the delay of 485 days is hereby condoned.

4. Appeal be registered.
