1. This is an o7ce reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 06.05.2025, passed in MCRC No. 2745 of 2025, while allowing the bail of the petitioners, namely, Devakishore Padhan and jaimangal Padhan, had expressed its trust that the trial KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN
2 Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certiAed copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment.
3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Durg, District – Durg (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 16.10.2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial.
4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in the present case, the evidence of the Investigating O7cer of the case and one other witness are yet to be recorded, due to which it does not appear possible to conclude the case within the prescribed time. Hence, trial is likely to take some time for its conclusion. Hence, he prays for grant of some more time for concluding the trial.
5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of three months from today.
6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed o7 with the aforesaid direction.
7. Registry is directed to send a certiAed copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/-
