(Oral) The petitioners have filed the present petition with a prayer to direct the respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners, as they are being harassed at the instance of respondent No.5. On advance notice Mr. M.S. Bajwa, DAG, Punjab has appeared on behalf of official respondents No.1 to 3 and on instructions from ASI Hira Singh submits that the petitioners were called only once by the police, as this Court had directed them to appear in a Habeas Corpus Petition. He further contends that both the petitioners are not required by the police in any criminal case, at this stage and no police officials are harassing them in any manner. In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, no further directions are required to be passed by this Court and the petition is accordingly, disposed of.
