Mr. J.S. Virk, learned Deputy Advocate General for the State. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JUDGMENT: (per Hon’ble The Chief Justice Sri G. Narendar) We have heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Deputy Advocate General for the State. 2. Learned Deputy Advocate General submits that, there is a claim and counter-claim in respect of a property and on account of the same disputes have arisen between the petitioners and private respondents and the disputes are subsisting and, in view of the disputes over the property, friction and unrest has arisen between the parties. 3. Per contra, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners have already moved the 1 2025:UHC:4565-DB competent Civil Court for appropriate reliefs and the same is pending. 4. In view of the submissions made by the learned Deputy Advocate General, we are of the opinion that the instant writ petition could be disposed of by directing the concerned Station House Officer to monitor the safety and security of life and limb of the petitioners. That apart, the 1st respondent shall also look into the role of respondent nos. 3 and 4 and if any direct role is discernible, then the S.S.P. shall send a report to the concerned competent authorities. 5.
