This writ petition has been filed seeking following relief:- 2 10.1 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased quash the list of Sub- Inspector eligible for promotion to the post of Inspector for year 2016 published on 06.12.2016 (Annexure P/1). 10.2That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to consider the petitioner for promotion to the post of Inspector from the date on which the petitioner became eligible i.e. 01.01.2014. 10.3 cost of the petition may also be granted to the petitioner. 10.4 The Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other relief(s), including the cost of this petition, as it appears to be fit and appropriate to this Hon’ble Court. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that during pendency of the writ petition, the respondent has issued eligibility list for the promotion from the post of Sub Inspector to Inspector and vide order dated 31.12.2016 promotion order (Annexure R-2) has been issued by the respondent No.2/ Director General of Police, Raipur, therefore, he prays that he may be permitted to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to challenge the said order in lieu of eligibility list issued by the authorities which is filed by the respondents along with return dated 04.02.2017. 3. Not opposed by the other side. 4. In view of above, this writ petition is dismissed with the aforesaid liberty.
