This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents for non-payment of the bills for the works undertaken by the petitioner. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-Corporation. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed the works, viz., (i) Arrangements of Shamiyana, Sound System, Snacks, tea, water and meals for the programme of "Jagananna Arogya Suraksha" on 08-11-2023 for Sec. No.126 at Ramannapet, 1st Line in Div No. 37, AE-1 Section under GMC, (ii) Arrangements of Shamiyana, LED TV's, Tea, Snacks, water and meals, sound for the system, stand fans etc., for the programme of "Jagananna Arogya Suraksha" for the programme on 08-11-2023 for Sec. No. 128 at Brodipet 2/6 in Div No. 33, (iii) Arrangements of Shamiyana, LED TV's, Tea, Snacks, water and meals, sound system, stand fans etc., for the programme of "Jagananna Arogya -3- W.P. No.26604 OF 2025 Date of order: 25.09.2025 Suraksha" on 07-11-2023 for Sec. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed all the works to the satisfaction of the 6th respondent and the same -5- W.P. No.26604 OF 2025 Date of order: 25.09.2025 were noted in separate log books. It is further submitted that after execution of the works, the petitioner has submitted a final bills for a sum of Rs.8,45,527/- and the competent authority approved the same, but so far no payment has been made to the petitioner. 5. During the course of the hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 6th respondent does not dispute the submissions made by the petitioner with respect to the completion of the work undertaken. 6. Considering the submissions, respondents 2, 3 and 5 to 7 are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 8. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ___________________ JUSTICE HARINATH.N BV
