Namasivayam O R D E R This Civil Revision Petition has been filed to set aside the fair and final order dated 02.04.2024 in I.A.No.2 of 2024 in O.S.No.6398 of 2023 on the file of the XXII-Assistant City Civil Court, Chennai. 1 / 5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis C.R.P.No.3268 of 2024 2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, there was no representation for the petitioiner. 3. However, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent submits that by order dated 20.02.2025, on the consent of both sides, this matter was referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to the High Court of Madras. The parties had arrived at a settlement, pursuant to which, they have entered into a Settlement Agreement dated 19.03.2025. Consequently, a Mediation Report dated 20.03.2025 was filed along with the Settlement Agreement before this Court. 4. Upon persual of the Settlement Agreement filed along with the Mediation Report and the submisions made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondent, it is revealed that this matter has already been settled through mediation. The Settlement Agreement entered between the parties, in paragraph No.6, is extracted hereunder :- “SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT The following Settlement has been arrived at between the parties hereto: A. Both the parties spoke through mediation and settled the matter amicably for Rs.2,30,000/- as full and final settlement. The petitioiner herein pays 2 / 5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis C.R.P.No.3268 of 2024 Rs.2,30,000/- through Demand Draft dated 19.03.2025, No.851227698 towards full and final settlement. The respondent herein acknowledge the same. B. The Respondent should withdraw the C.S.No.116323 of 2023 pending before the IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Culcatta which is filed against the petitioiner. C. The respondent agrees that the respondent give NOC for vehicle on or before dated 30.04.2025 to the petitioiner herein. D. The Respondent hereby declare that they have no claims whosoever civil or criminal in nature against each other. E. With the above terms, all the issues involved in C.R.P.No.3268 of 2024 and C.S.No.116323 of 2023 have been resolved by the Respondent and the Petitioner, once and for all. By signing this Agreement the parties hereto State that they have no further claims or demands against each other with respect to C.R.P.No.3268 of 2024 and all dispute and differences in this regard have been amicably settled by the Parties hereto through the process of Mediation.” 5. In view of the above, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
