THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE BATTU DEVANAND WRIT PETITION Nos.14638 & 22346 of 2021 AND CONTEMPT CASE No.1917 of 2021 COMMON ORDER: Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Sri.G.Seena Kumar, learned counsel in the Writ Petitions and Contempt Case would submit that during the pendency of these cases, the District Collector, Kadapa, directed the Tahsildar, Chapadu to hand over the advance possession of the Government land for construction of Village Secretariat building work and accordingly, the relief sought in the Writ Petitions is already granted by the respondents. 2. The District Collector, Kadapa has filed an affidavit before this Court, wherein, it is stated that he has directed the Tahsildar, Chapadu to hand over the advance possession of the Government land to an extent of 0.40 acre, out of total extent of 1.81 acres in Sy.No.14/C of Ananthapuram Village, Chapadu Mandal to the Executive Engineer, PR Division, Kadapa, for construction of Village Secretariat Building at Ayyavaripalli Grama Panchayat, subject to consent to be provided by the Water Resources (Irrigation) Department and usual conditions under B.S.O.24, 22 & 2 G.O.Ms.No.571 Revenue (Assgn. I) Department, dated 14.09.2012 pending finalization of regular transfer proposals. 3. In view of the above factual position, now it is clear that, for construction of village secretariat building, the land is allotted and advance possession is handed over to the concerned for construction of the village secretariat. 4. As the reliefs sought in the Writ Petitions are already granted by the respondents, in our considered view, no further adjudication is required in the present Writ Petitions and Contempt Case. 5. Accordingly, these Writ Petitions are disposed of placing the affidavit filed by the District Collector, Kadapa, on record. Consequently, the Contempt Case is closed for the reasons stated above. No costs.
