The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Ichak P.S. Case No. 146 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 20/ 21(b) /22(b) /25/29 of the N.D.P.S. Act., pending in the Court of learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Hazaribag. On 11.11.2024, Ichak police apprehended the petitioner along with co-accused Amit Kumar from a place behind Surya Temple, Ichak. On search, 100 grams of cannabis were recovered from the possession of the petitioner and 78 grams of brown sugar were recovered from the possession of co-accused Amit Kumar. It was submitted that quantum of seized cannabis comes within the purview of small quantity. It was further submitted that petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. In view of the aforesaid facts, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Hazaribag, in connection with Ichak P.S.
