Date : 30/06/2025 ORAL ORDER [1] Though the prayer in this writ petition is to issue a direction to the first respondent to accord promotion to the petitioner for the post of full time Internal Auditor / Tax Superintendent / Head Clerk / Accountant, it is noticed from the record that the petitioner has in fact made several representations, one among which is produced as Annexure-C (at page Nos. 26-28). It is seen from the said representations, which were received by the respondent on 29.09.2013 that the petitioner did make a claim for according promotion to him and the record reveals that these representations have remained unconsidered till date. [2] In my view, taking into consideration that the petitioner has already retired from service it would be appropriate to direct the first respondent to consider the claim made by the petitioner for according him a promotion to the post of full time Internal Auditor /
C/SCA/14867/2016 ORDER DATED: 30/06/2025 Tax Superintendent / Head Clerk / Accountant within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. [3] The first respondent shall take into consideration the representations submitted by the petitioner in this regard. It would also be open to the petitioner to make a fresh representation highlighting his entitlement to the said post. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. Direct service is permitted.
