The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to the respondents to count the service rendered by them as Special Police Officer (‘SPO’) on daily wages for qualifying service for the purpose of pensionary/retiral benefits. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners inter alia contends that case of the petitioners is squarely covered by Division Bench judgment dated 15.02.2018 of this Court in Sukhjeet Singh and others v. State of Punjab, CWP No.9936 of 2017. 3. Mr. Aman Dhir, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, who on advance notice is present in Court, submits that in terms of judgment, the respondent-authorities in the case of various officials have considered their claim and passed orders. He further asserts that appropriate authority would consider case of the petitioners in terms of judgment in Sukhjeet Singh (supra) and pass an appropriate order within three months from today.
