ORAL ORDER
Petitioners are seeking to quash the FIR in Crime No.31/2025 registered at CEN Crime Police Station, Mangaluru City, for the offence punishable under Section 8(C), 20(b)(ii)B of NDPS Act, 1985.
2. FIR is registered on the complaint of the PSI, CEN Crime Police Station against accused Nos.1 to 7,

wherein the petitioners are arraigned as accused Nos.6 and 7 respectively.
3. It is the contention of the learned counsel for petitioner that the alleged contraband was seized from accused Nos.1 to 5, who are apprehended from the spot and the only allegation against the petitioners are that as per the credible information, the contraband i.e., ganja was supplied by them. He contended that to implicate the petitioners as accused in this case, except the bald allegation, there are no other materials.
4. Learned High Court Government Pleader has contended that the investigation is in progress and the involvement of the petitioners have to be investigated into.
5. At this stage, it is too premature to hold that the petitioners are innocent. The statutory duty of the Police to conduct investigation cannot be interfered with. The petitioners are at liberty to challenge the chargesheet

if any, filed against them. With the said liberty, petition is
disposed of.
