(ORAL) At the outset, learned State counsel has apprised that out of 23 witnesses cited by the prosecution, 8 witnesses have been examined and 7 witnesses have been give up by the prosecution and the prosecution will make all efforts to conclude the evidence. Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks withdrawal of the petition at this stage. However, has requested that keeping in view the custody of the petitioner, the learned trial Court may be asked to expedite the trial. In view of the statement, petition stands dismissed as withdrawn at this stage. However, considering the fact that the petitioner is in custody since long, the learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial by giving SANDAL SHARMA 2025.05.28 11:07 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment CRM-M-24094-2024 (O&M) -2- short adjournments and to make earnest efforts to conclude the trial expeditiously, preferably within a period of 03 months from today.
